How He Works

A Few Things He's Known For

Craftsman-Level Quality
Built to last, not just to get done. If it isn't right, it isn't finished.
Follow Through
When Bob says he'll be there Tuesday, he's there Tuesday.
Straight Communication
What it needs, what it costs, and when it's not a job for him.
Practical
The fix that actually solves it — not the biggest invoice he could write.

He won't take on work he isn't the right man for. If it needs a licensed electrician or a plumber, or it's outside what he does, he'll tell you straight — and he almost always knows the right person to call.

The work he takes on

Home Remodels

From one room to an entire rebuild — Bob's done both, start to finish.

Windows & Doors

Replacement, repair, and everything that needs to open, close, and seal right.

Decks & Carpentry

Built, rebuilt, or repaired — framing and finish work done to last.

General Repairs

The stuff that's been "on the list" too long — drywall, trim, doors, and hardware.

Who You're Hiring

Decades On The Job, Still Doing It Himself

Bob's spent his whole working life fixing, building, and repairing homes around Louisville — no office, no sales team, just him and his van. He's built entire houses from the foundation up, so a leaky window or a wobbly deck isn't a stretch. It's the easy stuff.

Most of his work is smaller residential jobs — the repairs and projects other companies don't want to bother with, or price too high to make sense. Bob prices it fair, does it right, and moves on to the next one.

  • Decades of real, hands-on experience
  • Has built entire homes from the ground up
  • Small jobs are his specialty, not an afterthought
  • Prices fair — no big-company markup

What Bob Charges

Minimum Visit
$150

Covers getting to you, getting set up, and the first hour of work.

After the First Hour
$65/hr

Straight hourly. Materials are billed at cost on top.

Full Day  (8 hours)
$550

A full 8-hour day on site. Past 8 hours, it goes back to $65/hr.

There's no trip fee on top of this. The $150 minimum only shows up when the job is small — if the work adds up to more than $150, that's simply what you pay. No surprises, no separate charge for showing up.

Bigger project — a deck, a bathroom, anything running more than a day? That's not an hourly job. Bob comes out, looks it over, and gives you a written price for the whole thing. The estimate is free, anywhere in his service area.

What that rate already covers

It isn't just an hour of labor. Already in the number:

  • His truck and his gas — both directions
  • Every tool he owns — you're not renting anything
  • A parts run if the job needs something he doesn't have on the truck
  • Cleanup when he's done
  • Hauling off what's left — the old door, the trim, the scrap. It leaves in his truck, not in your garage

No Guessing

How It Works

Tell him what's going on

Call or text — plain language is fine, you don't need to know what the part is called.

He comes out and looks

Bob prices every job in person, on site — not off a description or a photo.

That's how he gives you a number he can actually stand behind.

You get a straight price

Before anything starts, you know exactly what it costs.

He schedules it and does it

A day and a window, then the work — and he cleans up after himself.

Why he comes out every time

Bob's one guy, and he's not going to guess at a price from a description — a "quick fix" can turn out to be something else once you're actually looking at it, and nobody wants a surprise number.

Coming out to look is part of the visit, not an extra trip. That's what makes the price he gives you one you can count on.

What Bob doesn't do: electrical panel work, HVAC, plumbing that requires a licensed plumber, or roofing. If that's what you need, he'll usually know someone who does.
